2. Conversion and roasting of lithium concentrate Conversion roasting:

The lithium concentrate is converted and roasted at high temperature, usually between 1050 and 1150°C, so that the mineral composition of spodumene is converted from α type to β type, which is conducive to subsequent acidification roasting and leaching.

Acidification roasting: Mix the converted roasted lithium concentrate with acidic substances such as sulfuric acid, and carry out acidification roasting at high temperature to displace lithium from the ore to form soluble lithium sulfate.

3. Leaching and purification Leaching:

Leach the clinker after acidification roasting in water to dissolve lithium in the solution to form a lithium-containing leachate.

Purification: Purify the leachate to remove impurities such as iron, aluminum, calcium, and magnesium to obtain a pure lithium sulfate solution.

4. Lithium precipitation and extraction Precipitation: Add a precipitant such as soda ash to the purified lithium sulfate solution to precipitate lithium in the form of lithium carbonate.
