If your company has been using the same inline pressure relief valve testing equipment for years, its time for an upgrade. You need pressure relief valve testing equipment thats making use of the most advanced software and technology to make your technicians job easier, your service better, and your business more profitable. If youre ready to upgrade your inline safety valve testing equipment, heres what to look for in a new system:
Your technicians are skilled, talented workers who have more knowledge about the inner workings of pressurized systems and safety valves than anyone else out there. Make sure they have the tools to do their job to the best of their ability. One-touch valve testing software takes away much of the time-consuming setup and potential for human error that comes with inline safety valve testing.
Not familiar with one-touch valve testing software yet? Heres how it works:
One-touch valve testing software, used by AccuTEST, takes the burden off of your technician. With single-touch testing and automatic setpoint calculation, this sophisticated software eliminates the potential for human error throughout the test, from automatic calibration of measurement sensors to the final results.
This is the 21st century. Your inline safety valve testing equipment should be easy to interact with and have a user-friendly interface. If youre looking to upgrade your inline safety valve testing equipment, know that there are options out there, like the AccuTEST system, that provide intuitive software interfaces, and helpful, comprehensive data storage.
With inline safety valve testing equipment that incorporates an advanced software interface, your technicians can monitor the progress of the safety valve test on the graphical display as it happens. Whats more, the AccuTEST system sends test files directly to the system computer, where they are permanently stored for complete, simple data management. The files are then easily accessed whenever your technician needs to revisit or print out test results for a client.
While features like a visual display of the test process, and the ability to permanently store, access, and print test results sound relatively basic, theyre not incorporated in a number of inline safety valve test systems on the market today. These features offer a significant improvement to your ability to provide clients with the information they need following your valve testing service.
The more valves your technicians are able to test, the more profitable your business becomes. Many manufacturing and industrial facilities make use of a variety of different safety valves, and its nearly impossible to have specific testing equipment for each unique valve or valve brand. Instead, look for new inline safety valve testing equipment that offers universal testing capabilities.
Systems offering these capabilities will feature universal mounting frames designed to accommodate any variety of safety valves, and will include software that provides access to a database of a multitude of valve types and sizes from various manufacturers, to ensure your technicians have the information they need on hand, no matter what type of facility theyre working in, or what type of safety valve theyre testing.
Making the decision to switch to upgrade your inline safety valve testing equipment is a big investment. You shouldnt have to worry about how youre going to protect or maintain that investment. While in the past, inline safety valve testing equipment has had a reputation for poor service and exceptionally long repair turnaround times, the industry is changing. You can, and should find an inline safety valve test equipment provider that offers helpful, timely technical support.
Your business is built on properly functioning safety valve testing equipment. If something goes wrong, your provider should offer the service and support that resolves the issue as quickly as possible. AccuTEST Systems is proud to offer strong technical support for your technicians anywhere, directly from our engineers. We dont use a third-party representative to handle service concerns our engineers work directly with your technicians to resolve any issue they might run into out in the field or in the shop. As long as your techs can connect their AccuTEST system to the internet, our engineers can remote into their system to identify and troubleshoot any problems theyve run into.

9 May 03 02:51Suggest you call a few valve manufacturers and see what they use if you are referring to ball, gate, plug, etc. type valves. Would not be surprised if they build it themselves as the test instruments would be similar to that used to hydro test piping.
As a point of interest, check the test times listed in either API 6D or ASME B16.34. Not very long.
If you are talking about testing PSV set points then most people try to test in place. For small valves install external valves. For large pilot operated valves buy a test kit for the valve.
For testing the flow capacity of PSVs I do not know anyone who performs this type of testing after it is in service.

9 May 03 11:09DeLuca Test Equipment builds Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Test Equipment. The Test Benches are Custom Built for Site Specific applications. The Test Equipment is built to suit your requirements for Size and Type Connections (Typical 1/2" to 2" NPT Threaded & 1" to 6" Flanged), Test Fluids (Steam, Air and/or Water), Pressure Range (Typical 15 psig to psig, but Vacuum to psig are available). Many Owner/Users make a practice of Testing ASME Sec. I, Boiler Valves (Drum & Superheater) in place utilzing Auxiliary Lift Devices. Such Equipment is very expensive and typically rented along with a qualified Technician to Operate it. However, the National Board of Boiler & Presure Vessel Inspectors administers a program for Pressure Relief Valve Repair (NBIC RA-, "VR" Stamp Program) which permits Owner User Testing of ASME Sec. VIII, Process Steam PRVs on Air. We have many clients who choose this option, including 10 Nuclear Plants, several Pharmaceutical Plants and numerous Petro Chemical Operations. This Test Equipment can be utilzed for Pilot Operated Relief Valve Testing as well as Spring Loaded PRVs. The Liquid Test Bench is also capable of hydrostatically testing Manual Valves (Gates, Globes & Checks) as well as seat tightness testing.I hope this information is helpful. The address is
