358 anti-climb fence, known as high security fence, is a welded wire mesh fence designed to prevent climbing and cutting. The name '358' comes from the size of the mesh panels, which are 3 inches by 0.5 inches (76.2mm x 12.7mm) and the wire diameter is 8 gauge (4mm). This makes the fence extremely difficult to cut or climb as it is too small for fingers or tools to fit through.
The fence is usually made of galvanised steel, which makes it resistant to rust and corrosion. It can also be coated in various colours of PVC to blend in with the surroundings or to make it more visible as a deterrent.

Panels are made of a heavy, high-security welded mesh 2 518.6 mm wide ( mm wide in South Africa). Several panels can be installed one above the other. Panels in one piece up to 6 m high are also available.
For maximum security, the mesh is 12.7 x 76.2 mm (H x W), with a 4 mm wire diameter.
Weld strength: 50% of the minimum tensile strength of the wire. In tests, performed by specialised police departments, the mesh had a delay factor 40x greater than other standard fence products - a vital requirement to capture potential escapees.

The Securifor system is supplied with matching gates using the same high-security mesh infill as the fence. Single or double- swing or sliding gates can be manufactured on request with Securifor panels infill.
European Manufacturing:
Panels are made out of galvanised wires. An adhesion coating is given for perfect bonding with the polyester coating (min. 100 microns).
The panels are also available coated in Zincalu Super (95% zinc, 5% aluminium) or galvanised and polyester coated for long life protection.
