The Keysight U waveguide mixer is a general-purpose harmonic mixer employing a dual-diode design to achieve flat frequency response and low conversion loss. These are achieved without external dc bias or tuning stubs. Manual operation and computer-controlled hardware operation are simplified because mixer bias and tuning adjustment are not required.

The U extends the frequency range of the Keysight NA PXA high-performance signal analyzer to the U-band (40 to 60 GHz). It is also fully compatible with other Keysight spectrum analyzers including: the EA/46A/48A PSA (with Option AYZ), the EB ESA-E (with Option AYZ), the 856xEC, the B (with a preamplifier), and the modular analyzer (with the A/B external mixer interface module).
An external diplexer is required to connect the U with the NA PXA (with Option EXM). The recommended diplexer can be purchased from Keysight as model number NAE13 or from OML, Inc as model number DPL.313B.
